Important Update for EU Customers: New Customs Requirements Effective November 1, 2026
Dear Sendico Customers,
We would like to share an important update regarding upcoming changes to EU customs regulations, effective November 1, 2026.
New PID Requirements for B2C Shipments
Under the new regulations, Product Identification (PID) information will be required for B2C (Business-to-Consumer) shipments entering the EU.
These additional requirements may result in longer customs clearance times and potential shipping delays in the early days of this new policy.
Sendico's Response
To minimize the impact on our customers, Sendico is proactively preparing for these changes. We have implemented a process which will generate PDF documents containing the required PID information and will be attaching them to all shipments bound for the EU from today onwards. This will help customs authorities process packages smoothly going forward.
However, as these regulations are newly introduced, there may be unexpected issues during the initial implementation period. Some shipments may experience customs holds or delays, even when all required documentation has been provided. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes.
Important Information for Business Customers (B2B)
B2B shipments are not subject to these new PID requirements.
If you use Sendico for business purposes, we strongly encourage you to:
- Visit your User Profile and select the "Company Account" checkbox.
- Enter your VAT number and other relevant business information.
Once this option has been selected, we will automatically flag all of your future shipments as B2B, and all relevant paperwork will be handled accordingly.
Please ensure that accurate business information is provided, as incorrect information may cause parcel returns and further issues.
Our Commitment to You
As these changes take effect, it is difficult to predict how many shipments may be affected or how long customs clearance may take. Please be assured that Sendico is doing everything possible to minimize disruptions and keep your packages moving.
We will continue monitoring the situation closely and share further updates whenever necessary.
Thank you for your continued trust, patience, and support.
The Sendico Team
