Effective April 21, 2025, due to recent changes in US trade policy, there are important updates regarding DHL shipments to the United States that exceed $800 USD in declared value.

🚫 Temporary Suspension of Certain Shipments

• Start Date: April 21, 2025
• What’s Affected: Shipments for personal use (B to C) that exceed $800 USD
• Status: Temporarily suspended from acceptance by DHL

✅ Shipments Still Accepted

• Shipments under $800 USD
• Business-to-business (B to B) shipments over $800 USD (Note: These may still experience delays due to increased customs procedures)

📦 Why This Is Happening

• The US has eliminated the duty-free threshold (“de minimis”) for goods from specific regions and now requires full customs clearance for all international shipments over $800 USD.
• This change has caused a significant increase in customs processing, resulting in delays for higher-value shipments.

🔄 DHL are Monitoring the Situation

This is a temporary measure, and they will provide us with updates as soon as normal service resumes.

To avoid service disruptions and delays, we strongly recommend keeping your total declared value per shipment under $800 USD for the time being.
